Security Officer - Retail Access Control

As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in Conklin, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, hazards, or irregularities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with store management and staff to address security-related needs and assist with lost and found or customer inquiries as necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disorderly conduct within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
