Opportunity IMG is hiring a Senior Software Developer to develop and test custom applications for government systems. They will develop high quality code, perform and remediate vulnerabilities according to cybersecurity principles, and execute thorough testing with great attention to detail. The software applications include both desktop and real-time applications. Key Responsibilities: * Full support and understanding of the software development lifecycle * Database design and management * Develop high quality code * Remediate vulnerabilities according to cybersecurity principles * Develop, review, and execute test cases with attention to detail * Publish engineering documentation including architectural diagrams and technical specifications * Develop and perform validation and verification of user manual content * Perform code reviews & testing * Contribute to the design and architecture of software * Contribute to database design change efforts * Develop, review, and maintain test plans Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and six years of equivalent experience; Master's degree in similar field and fours years relevant experience. * C#, Visual Basic, Javascript, C++, and the .NET Framework * Expertise in software engineering practices and software lifecycle models * Experience with Dev/Ops environments * Object oriented programming (simulation and modeling) * Familiarity with database architectures * Ability to identify and remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities * Experience in creating and executing detailed test plans for new and updated applications * Capability to identify and document test defects encountered while testing * Ability to troubleshoot defects to determine root cause * Experience in creating detailed test reports, proficiently update technical manuals Candidates must have an active Secret or L security clearance to qualify.
