Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Maintain records and track compliance related to Technology Control Plans (TCPs); create notifications for renewals, training expirations, and end dates.
  • Retrieve sponsor-specific project lists (DOE, USDA, NSF, etc.); track personnel associated with each project; generate compliance and status reports on required trainings.
  • Provide formatting and presentation support for research security training materials. (e.g., PowerPoint decks, White Papers, Fact Sheets).
  • Assist in scheduling, documenting, and organizing facilities inventories and audits for labs/facilities possessing export-controlled technology or equipment.
  • Serve as a point of coordination for training records, audit files, and documentation required for legislative and sponsor reporting.
  • Provide general program support, including scheduling, correspondence, file management, and communications.
  • Support special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school plus six years' experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

This position is designated as involving access to critical infrastructure systems and/or research, as defined by Texas Executive Order GA-48. As such, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. Employees are required to comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to the protection of critical infrastructure. Ongoing employment is dependent upon maintaining eligibility for access and successfully passing periodic security and compliance reviews.
