What you will do:

1) Access Services

  • Lead the patient access operations staff to perform related activities including scheduling, registration, quality assurance and insurance coverage verification. Coordinates new patient consultations with oncology providers and other multidisciplnary clinicians. Manages the team responsible for connecting new patients to appropriate specialists.
  • Performs intake coordination for undiagnosed patients and other cohorts of patients as needed.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels of access services. Tracks and maintains KPI data.
  • Proactively seek customer (physician, administrator, patient and family) feedback including conducting regular meetings. Follow-up and documentation of all related complaints.
  • Collaborate to leverage technology providing related system and technical support.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for all department programs regarding: Patient Access, Scheduling, Referral Patterns and Trends.
  • Collaborates with other leaders to ensure that workflows are followed consistently across various subspecialty programs

2) Staff Management/ Training/ Quality Improvement

  • Oversee the development of standard workflows and requirements for seamless patient flow management and coordination.
  • Lead, participate and facilitate projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and implement related products and system enhancements like CRM
  • Develop and maintain training programs and policies to support process improvement.
  • Develop and maintain interdepartmental relationships to enhance revenue cycles
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external providers to improve collaboration and enhance provider experience.
  • Provide related communication and policy integration across the institution.

3) Metrics and Reporting

  • Develop and implement reports including to track new patient volume, incidents of patient transfer following second opinion consultations, referring physician data, registration accuracy. Identifies real and potential barriers to care, works with other leaders to develop solutions .
  • Develop and implement strategies to resolve complex issues and problems

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing and/or Healthcare Administration - Preferred

  • Master's Degree - Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years experience in a healthcare related environment Required
  • At least one (1) year management or supervisory experience Required
  • At least one (1) year data collection and analysis experience Preferred
  • At least five (5) years healthcare related environment Preferred
  • At least three (3) years management or supervisory experience Preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$98,820.00 - $126,000.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
