About the Job

Research Description:
This position will involve modification, implementation, testing and running of computer algorithms/code related to simulations, data analysis, visualization and dissemination in support of space physics research.

Job Duties
65% Implementing, testing, editing and running simulation, data analysis, and visualization code, and producing output for research dissemination related to space physics research efforts.
20% Communication, both verbal and written, with other research group personnel to facilitate the programming and other tasks listed above and support the research effort.
15% Documentation of efforts, implementation, and algorithm usage related to the programming and code worked on.
Other duties of a similar scope as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field, OR a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years. Need to have computer programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
BS/BA in Computer related field. Experience in computer algorithm implementation related to data analysis, simulation, data visualization and dissemination programming preferred. Experience with C/C++, MatLab, Cuda, and/or IDL programming preferred.
