Summary


Dunmore is seeking a creative and proactive Internal Communications Intern to join our team. This internship is ideal for students eager to shape company culture and build a career around fostering community and belonging within an organization. Throughout the internship, you will curate a robust portfolio of multimedia assets including writing, video production, design, and also support our internal communication strategy.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute communications campaigns designed to enhance peer-to-peer safety culture within the organization.


  • Collaborate with team members to create engaging and informative content for newsletters, announcements, and digital displays.


  • Work with various departments to build and maintain a database of stories that highlight achievements, employee experiences, and organizational milestones for internal and external sharing.


  • Create and schedule posts that promote company news, events, and initiatives.


  • Manage and update the Dunmore US and Dunmore Europe LinkedIn pages, engaging with our audience and posting content that reflects our company culture.


  • Support the planning and development of the 2027 content calendar, including brainstorming and scheduling content themes, campaigns, and key events.


  • Assist in coordinating campaigns and approval flows to effectively meet deadlines.


  • Maintain the Dunmore Intranet (SharePoint) with relevant and up-to-date information.


  • Design graphics, infographics, videos, and other visual and multimedia content to enhance communication effectiveness.

Requirements

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:



  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.


  • Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.


  • Passion for storytelling through words and visuals.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SharePoint or other intranet platforms.


  • Basic knowledge of social media management, particularly LinkedIn.


  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate and execute innovative ideas.


  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks with strict deadlines.


  • Knowledge of communication strategies and best practices.



Education and Experience



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.


  • Experience or coursework in graphic design, including proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.


  • Previous experience with social media management or content creation is a plus.


  • Previous experience with videomaking is also a plus.
