What You've Accomplished



  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 5 years of directly related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes and skill in applying manufacturing team concepts
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers
  • Understanding of machining, assembly, fabrication, or other relevant production methods
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles
  • Knowledge of ISO standards or industry-specific quality systems
  • OSHA regulations and workplace safety protocols
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action planning

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Mechanical Products Operations Supervisor in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Products & Engineering Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. This position will lead daily operations while building the structure, tools, and processes that drive schedule adherence, operational visibility, and disciplined execution. Your work will include:



  • Implement structure, processes, and tools that enable proactive planning, disciplined execution, and efficient coordination across multiple product segments
  • Plan, organize, and direct daily operations for fabrication, assembly, and testing activities to meet customer and project requirements
  • Serve as a hands-on problem solver, removing barriers, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum on high-priority work
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, quality, and product line leadership to improve proactivity, flow, reduce rework, and enhance efficiency
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas, and collaboration across teams
  • Champion quality, safety, and compliance, ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and nuclear standards
  • Develop and track key performance metrics to drive improvements in lead time, on-time delivery, OSD&D reduction, and operational visibility

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $83,000 - $113,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
