The Senior Specialist, Project Management, will play a key role in driving impactful business transformation initiatives across Nestle USA. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing critical project activities that enable operational excellence and organizational optimization. Working across multiple functions and business units, the role requires a strategic thinker who can shape and execute a clear vision while maintaining a strong focus on detail and delivery. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to influence outcomes in a dynamic environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and administer project plans and budgets; identify project goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, potential risks, and mitigating plans and allocation of available resources; and communication.
  • Prepare business cases for submitted projects and attend market-level functional project planning/prioritization meetings as appropriate.
  • Work with Procurement to develop and administer RFPs; support vendor selection decision-making process
  • Determine and manage project estimates and budgets, and make purchasing decisions for project resources, including internal and external staffing requirements.
  • Support program and project reporting and documentation processes; deliver status reports and analysis for management on an ongoing basis; track and resolve issues; escalate to management as necessary.
  • Coordinate with management to ensure project scope and schedule are adhered to; ensure proposed changes are aligned with objectives and are conducted in accordance with agreed-upon project change processes.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers to ensure project/program management processes are integrated between internal teams, Nestle IT, and Operating Company Stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Provide leadership and training to teams related to project management, integration, and prioritization activities.
  • Understand and support the development of a change management strategy and communication material for any changes to the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
  • 4 or more years of project management experience managing complex business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple functional and technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agility in adapting to change and guiding teams through uncertainty; persistent, solutions-oriented mindset.

SKILLS

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and administer project plans; identify project goals; manage scheduling, communication strategies, potential risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
  • Financial aptitude in managing budgets, performing cost/benefit analyses, and making purchasing recommendations and decisions.
  • Creative thinking skills with an emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have a single clear answer; ability to identify alternatives, workarounds, or temporary solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to analyze and interpret functional and technical requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate with team members to ensure project scope and schedule adherence; confirm proposed changes align with objectives and follow agreed-upon change processes; deliver high-quality outcomes.
