We're looking for a People Team Specialist to join our People Team and help deliver a seamless and welcoming employee experience. This role is focused on onboarding, employee support, and ensuring our day-to-day HR operations run smoothly. What You'll Do

As the People Team Specialist, you'll be the first line of support for employees and new hires. Your role will focus on execution, responsiveness, and creating a smooth employee experience.

Onboarding Owner



  • Process new hires in our HRIS (UKG) to get them set up for success.
  • Maintain I-9 compliance through E-Verify and partner with hiring managers to resolve open cases and reverifications.
  • Audit new hire offer letters to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the background check process for US and Canada, including sending post-adverse action letters in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Troubleshoot onboarding system issues to ensure a smooth hiring process.
  • Maintain onboarding documents within the Onboarding Gateway.
  • Upload new hires into the Learning Management System (Tovuti).


People Team & Employee Support



  • Triage and respond to employee inquiries through the People Team ticketing system (FreshDesk), escalating as needed.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and friendly support to employees across a variety of HR topics.
  • Support unemployment claim processing, including responding to requests and maintaining documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for leave of absence cases.
  • Support People Team audits, including minimum wage validations and data checks.
  • Employee data and information requests, government reporting, etc.
  • Assist with employee programs such as Cookieversary and scholarship administration.
  • Support general culture and engagement initiatives.


What We're Looking For



  • 1-3 years of HR or People Operations experience.
  • Exposure to onboarding, employee support, or HR administration required.
  • Basic familiarity with leave of absence processes preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in HR systems, ticketing tools, and LMS platforms.
  • Experience is Workday preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of requests.
