Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Team in East Dubuque, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer at this chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will interact with others, deliver exceptional customer service, and support access control measures, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor the location for any security-related concerns specific to the chemical and petrochemical environment, reporting observations as required.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or requests.
  • Support access control procedures for employees, visitors, and contractors as applicable to the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities and incidents during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
