Meet the Team: We are a high-performing Data and Analytics team dedicated to delivering insights and analytics for Sales, Customer Success, and Renewals. Our mission is to drive the growth of Cisco's Sales and recurring business and embed AI into every layer of decision-making. Your Impact: As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming insights and analytics for Sales, Customer Success, and Renewals. You will analyze large datasets from platforms such as SAP HANA, Snowflake, and EDW Terradata to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and drive strategic decision-making. By developing and maintaining dashboards, generating real-time reports, and creating actionable visualizations, you will empower business teams with critical metrics and insights using Tableau, Power BI etc. Your expertise in data interpretation, reporting tools, and business intelligence will enable you to translate complex data into meaningful stories that support Cisco's data-driven culture, foster innovation, and enhance performance across Sales, Customer Success, and Renewals. As a Data Analyst, you will: * Analyze and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data to uncover actionable insights for Sales, Customer Success, and Renewals. * Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards by integrating data from diverse sources, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of key business metrics. * Apply data validation and quality checks to maintain data integrity and reliability across all analytics outputs. * Collaborate with business and technical teams to design data models and schemas that support both analytical and operational needs. * Evaluate and recommend data storage solutions, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and cloud storage services, to best support business intelligence initiatives. * Optimize data retrieval and visualization processes to ensure scalability and performance for end users. * Stay current with industry trends and best practices in analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization to continually enhance the value of insights provided to the organization. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience. * Demonstrated experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related analytical roles, with a minimum of 5 years focused on interpreting and visualizing data. * Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, SAP HANA) and experience with data querying, reporting, and visualization tools like Tableau, CRMA or Power BI * Solid understanding of database systems, data modeling techniques, and standard processes in data management. * Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge of Sales, Renewals, and Customer Success data and the ability to generate actionable business insights from these domains. * Experience working with large datasets and modern analytics frameworks. * Exposure to AI/ML concepts, including large language models (LLMs), transformer architectures, and advanced analytics platforms. * Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related technical field. * Understanding of vector databases, semantic search, and retrieval-augmented analytics techniques. * Familiarity with responsible AI practices, data governance, and enterprise data ethics frameworks. * Experience with advanced analytics tools such as Snowflake Cortex, and exposure to MLOps or workflow automation platforms is a plus. For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $114,400.00 - $171,300.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $100,200.00 - $153,200.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements. | |
