This position support Mesa's Calibration Solutions business. Our Calibration Solutions portfolio uses the principles of advanced metrology to enable customers to measure and calibrate critical parameters in applications such as Environmental and Process Monitoring, Dialysis, Gas Flow, Air Quality, and Torque Testing. Job Summary The Shipping & Receiving Specialist (Level 4) is an experienced logistics team member responsible for coordinating, executing, and documenting all inbound and outbound material movement for the manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely shipments, and compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations. Level 4 specialists are subject-matter operators who troubleshoot issues, serve as a resource for less-experienced staff, and support continuous improvement within the warehouse. Duties/Responsibilities Shipping:
* Prepare, package, and stage outbound shipments to meet customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements.
* Generate shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, labels) in ERP or shipping systems.
* Load trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
* Verify accuracy of orders, quantities, and lot/serial information prior to shipping.
* Coordinate daily pick-ups with carriers and communicate delays or issues as needed.
Receiving:
* Receive inbound materials, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
* Inspect incoming materials for damage, discrepancies, and quality requirements; escalate issues as needed.
* Enter receipts and inventory movements into ERP systems with high accuracy.
* Route received items to appropriate departments or storage locations.
Inventory & Material Handling:
* Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
* Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse, staging areas, and storage locations.
* Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, scanners, and other equipment.
* Track and report inventory variances and support root-cause investigation.
Documentation & Compliance:
* Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation in compliance with company policies and ISO/quality standards.
* Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety programs.
* Ensure compliance with hazardous materials handling (if applicable).
Team & Continuous Improvement:
* Support training and onboarding of new employees.
* Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
* Collaborate with production, purchasing, planning, and quality teams to resolve material flow issues. Experience/Education: Required:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 4-6 years of experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor) and barcode scanners.
* Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
* Experience with international shipments (commercial invoices, export documentation, customs requirements).
* Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 or similar).
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles. Knowledge & Skillsets Required: * Operational Accuracy: Consistently meets quality and documentation standards.

Physical Demands (US Only): * Standing or walking: Extended periods standing or walking throughout the warehouse. * Using computers: Typing and using the computer. * Manual dexterity: Handling various operating equipment. * Bending and reaching: Frequently reaching overhead, bending Environmental Conditions: * Manufacturing and warehouse environment with moderate noise levels.
