Position Summary:

Ensure the material needed for work orders are at the proper issue location for production use. Work with Warehouse leads to resolve any material discrepancies that may be encountered over the course of a shift through work order completions and maintenance. Communicate production number and encountered issues to the supervisor manager on a daily basis. Execute side projects while never sacrificing the overall production goal. Individual must develop a strong understanding of material flow processes as well as Oracle.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Report production numbers and potential issues to supervisor.
  • Help resolve inventory and BOM issues to keep production moving.
  • Notify correct individuals on issues experienced during shift.
  • Work independently on projects while keeping up production pace.
  • Communicate with other departments about workflow and issues.
  • Maintain production paperwork.
  • Ensure workplace is in accordance to 5S protocol.
  • Suggest ideas that will improve department efficiency.
  • Ensure the production lines have material needed.
  • Ensure scrap is completed daily.
  • Ensure component scrap is completed daily.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in packing/production environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Must display a customer focused work ethic with the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and the capacity to get things done
  • Solid organization skills, with ability to multi-task.
  • Efficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Oracle is strongly preferred.
  • Results driven individual who has demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
