Job Summary

This position supports a new product launch within the Electrophysiology business as a 2nd shift Process and Equipment Technician. The role involves working closely with the operations team and assemblers to troubleshoot equipment, investigate process issues, and implement improvements. The technician will also assist in designing and developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a front-line process technician supporting the operations team.
  • Support new product introductions, process improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Apply lean manufacturing techniques and coach assemblers on best practices.
  • Instruct production personnel in the manufacturing and testing of product devices.
  • Recommend and implement changes to processes, tooling, and equipment to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Interpret test data, analyze product performance, and assist in yield improvement initiatives.
  • Assist maintenance team to ensure continuous operation of production equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot safety, quality, or process issues.
  • Perform scrap dissection and support root cause investigations.
  • Summarize and communicate information across shifts and functional areas.
  • Comply with FDA regulations, QMS, EMS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communication with all levels of employees, customers, and vendors.


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or trade school certification, specialized training/apprenticeship, or equivalent in Electronics or Engineering Technology.
  • 1-4 years of manufacturing technician experience.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to teach and coach non-technical personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred but not required.


Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
