GENERAL FUNCTION

The ADO Sales Consultant is responsible for driving the growth of ADO Practice Solutions by prospecting, acquiring, and onboarding new member practices. This role plays a key part in expanding ADO's market presence, increasing membership revenue, and supporting independent eye care practices with industry-leading programs, vendor partnerships, and business solutions. The Sales Consultant serves as both a relationship builder and a subject-matter resource, ensuring new members understand the value ADO brings to their practice operations and profitability. This is a remote-office position with limited travel required only for approved optical industry events.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Identify, target, and prospect new independent eye care practices to drive membership growth within the assigned territory.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, events, and industry partnerships.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand practice needs and position ADO programs-Core Membership, PEAK Loyalty, Accelerate, and D4Y Marketing-as value-driven solutions.
  • Deliver professional virtual and in-office presentations using approved materials; guide practices through enrollment and ensure timely onboarding.
  • Achieve monthly and annual new-member acquisition goals and maintain accurate pipeline data in internal tracking systems.
  • Partner with Practice Success Managers to ensure smooth handoff, early engagement, and COGS optimization for new members.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and industry partners to enhance lead generation and territory expansion.
  • Provide consistent communication, updates, and forecasting to leadership, ensuring visibility into activity and growth projections.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Vendor Relations, and Billing/Customer Service teams.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and development sessions to stay current on vendor updates, rebates, and sales strategies.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience in optical/eye care industry, medical sales, or B2B sales.
  • Strong prospecting skills with a proven track record of generating new business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and driven to exceed goals.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-office environment.
  • Willingness to travel only for approved optical events.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Knowledge of ADO programs, vendor structures, optical rebates, or buying-group benefits.
  • Experience using CRM platforms.
  • Background working with independent practices or optical vendor partners.
