Job Description

Leads the Business Unit's Program Management Office (PMO), ensuring that all programs (projects and initiatives) align with strategic goals, are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining project governance, methodologies, tools, and performance metrics across the business unit.



Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership & Governance



  • Develop and implement PMO policies, processes, and frameworks in alignment with Global Laser Systems business unit objectives to ensure consistency and quality in project delivery


  • Establish governance structures for project prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management


  • Lead portfolio governance, prioritization, and resource allocation


Project Oversight & Execution



  • Monitor and report on project portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of all projects and initiatives in compliance with project policies, standards, schedules, and budgets


  • Provide guidance and support to project managers on planning, execution, and delivery
  • Influence stakeholders across multiple business units and functional departments to drive high quality, on-time project execution


Team Management & Development



  • Hire, manage, and mentor PMO staff including project managers and analysts, as needed


  • Provide training and coaching to enhance project management capabilities


  • Foster a high-performance culture and cross-functional collaboration


Stakeholder Engagement



  • Partner with business unit heads and functional leaders of Finance, HR, Engineering, and IT to align and deliver on project goals


  • Lead regular project retros, and communicate project and team status, opportunities and risks to leadership


  • Facilitate decision-making processes and ensure transparency across teams


Tools & Reporting



  • Develop and roll-out standardized project and initiative portfolio performance dashboard


  • Select and implement PMO tools and software for tracking and reporting


  • Ensure data-driven decision-making through portfolio analytics

Requirements

Qualifications:



  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Math, Operations Research or related technical field (Master's in Business Administration is a plus)


  • 10+ years in project/program management, with 5+ years in leadership role


  • Proven experience managing a PMO for a large project portfolio with multiple stakeholders


  • Proven experience defining and implementing best practices in Program and Project Management


  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and software tools. PMP or equivalent certification preferred


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills


  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, influence and drive change across a matrixed organization


  • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, ClickUp, Wrike)

MA: $136,946 - $188,986

Pay Range:


The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location posted, the applicable range could differ. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.



Other Compensation: Employees in this role are eligible for additional rewards which could include:



  • Annual Discretionary Bonus or Sales Bonus as Applicable
