Job Description

The Warehouse clerk facilitates product delivery from its customers and vendors to the kitchen operations.

Essential Functions


Receiving: receives deliveries in accordance with Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) guidelines.

  • Receive product from delivery vendors including operating forklift to unload pallets from delivery vehicles when necessary.
  • ???????Check delivery against packing slips/delivery invoices to account for all items.
  • Inspect products for quality, rejecting items that are damaged or do not meet FSQ quality standards.
  • Document temperature of delivery trucks for all chilled and frozen products and complete Critical Control Point (CCP) documentation for FSQ requirements.

Requisitioning: deliver product to production departments in accordance with FSQ guidelines.



  • Pull products from the warehouse to fulfill production needs.
  • Ensure product is properly dated and labeled before distribution.
  • Decant (remove from packaging) product according to FSQ guidelines while restocking supply racks and drawers in production spaces.
  • Restock production areas on a daily basis.



Support functions

  • Arrange products in the warehouse as directed by warehouse management.
  • Maintain the work area in a neat, orderly, and sanitary manner.
  • Correctly and promptly follow specified company procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Responses and Safety practices
  • Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by management.



Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment including propane sitting forklift, electric stand-up forklift, manual and electric pallet jacks.
  • Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures and requirements of the job.
  • Regular attendance is required for the position.


  • Able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and independently.
  • Able to interact with others with courtesy and tact.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Always maintain Food Safety expectations, including general housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required.
  • Ability to respond to crisis situations in a calm and effective manner.
  • Ability to complete projects on schedule.
  • Repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to work at heights using ladders.
  • Able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
  • Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • High school diploma/G.E. D preferred



Supervisory Responsibility

This position has non-supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time, nonexempt position. Days and hours of work may vary depending on the needs of the business. Must be willing to work any shift or days off as leadership assigns.
