Maintenance Planning / Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analyst

Location: Norfolk, VA (Hybrid 3/2)

The Maintenance Planning / RCM Analyst provides lifecycle maintenance planning and reliability-centered maintenance support for small boats and combatant craft. This role develops and validates Planned Maintenance System (PMS) requirements, executes Backfit and Classic RCM analyses, and ensures technical alignment across maintenance, configuration, and logistics documentation in accordance with NAVSEA standards.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and validate PMS requirements using PMSMIS
  • Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical manuals for maintenance applicability
  • Conduct Backfit (Level One) and Classic (Level Two) RCM analyses per MIL-STD-3034A
  • Integrate RCM results into PMS and lifecycle documentation
  • Develop and maintain Class Maintenance Plans (CMPs)
  • Conduct Front-End Analysis (FEA) to identify training requirements
  • Coordinate maintenance changes across engineering, logistics, and CM teams


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Logistics, or related field or relevant direct military experience in lieu of degree
  • 5-10 years of experience in maintenance planning or RCM for Navy or DoD platforms
  • Experience with PMSMIS and Navy maintenance systems
  • Knowledge of RCM methodology and MIL-STD-3034A
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, TMs, and logistics documentation
  • Familiarity with configuration management principles and change control
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • US Citizen
  • Active secret clearance or ability to obtain
