WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • Read and understand part drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements to check part dimensions and tolerances
  • Set up and use inspection gauges for production checks
  • Inspect parts using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) guidelines
  • Perform incoming (receiving) inspections to ensure materials meet purchase order and specification requirements
  • Operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to check part features such as alignment and location; create simple programs when needed
  • Inspect tooling and fixtures and keep accurate inspection and calibration records
  • Visually inspect parts and materials for surface defects such as cracks, dents, burrs, or poor welds
  • Verify assemblies are complete by comparing parts to drawings, parts lists, or sample models
  • Measure parts using standard inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
  • Identify, document, and reject non-conforming parts, and work with the Quality Supervisor to resolve quality issues



WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
