SITE MANAGER
OPEN SHOP LABOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
Serve as the gateway between Day & Zimmermann (D&Z) and the client as it pertains to all site, safety programs, and job related decisions. Daily interface with the client as well as understanding client needs. Responsible for the successful execution of all contract obligations and/or labor agreements at assigned site. Ensures that all work is performed in a safe and productive manner and in accordance with the quality standards of both the customer and D&Z; serves as the principal contact to the customer for day-to-day operational issues and business development opportunities. Effectively manages relationships with local labor officials and/or client key stakeholders. Responsible for maintaining internal and external industry knowledge and best practices through continuous learning and development. Ensures that all employees are being treated with respect.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
| Communicate and serve as the gateway between D&Z and client by directing, delegating, and executing work through others at site safely, within site's maintenance and project budgets, and in accordance with terms of contract. Has a strong understanding of labor management. |
| Advise Supervisors, oversees orientation and development of craft employees, including employee relations, human performance and productivity, performance management and employment management in conjunction with supervisor. |
| Perform BOLT (Behavioral Observation Learning Tool) observations and Safety inspections as required. Good housekeeping and safe work practices are followed by the client, D&Z team, and other contractors. Drives Torque Principles across sites to support our Safety Culture. |
| Leads and provides information in business and safety meetings (internal & external). Partner with support functions to manage budget and report on financial impacts and metrics. |
| Assist in the hiring process to find aptly qualified D&Z craft to fill open positions. |
| Assess the skills and identifies training requirements. Recommends changes in assignments. Conduct and/or coordinate required safety training of the D&Z team. |
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
| Knowledge of client /customer relations with the ability to communicate effectively with Customer, site staff and craft employees. |
| Strong knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations. |
| Ability to manage financial measures and recognize business development opportunities. |
| Ability to delegate, supervise, and evaluate maintenance work and capital projects assigned to subordinates, specifically in a matrix organization. |
| Working knowledge of site operations, labor management and contractual obligations. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word |
QUALIFICATIONS:
| High School Diploma or equivalent |
| Minimum 5 years experience at the supervisor / journeyman or technical level in a plant services or manufacturing environment. |
| Completion of Journeyman Program with 2 or more years of experience in one of the following trades: Electrical or Mechanical is a plus but not required. |
| Journeyman with 2 or more years of experience in one of the following trades: Electrical or Mechanical is a plus but not required. |

- Ability to successfully complete elements required to obtain unescorted access to Client facilities/plants (background screening, drug/alcohol screening, psychological screening, training, etc.)
In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $95,000 - $171,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and other factors.
