What You'll Be Doing:

As an Undergraduate Intern - Business Analytics, Insights & Strategy, you will support strategic decision-making through data analysis, forecasting, and competitive intelligence. Potential projects and responsibilities include:


  • Assist in data analysis and visualization to support commercial performance tracking and strategic insights.
  • Conduct competitive landscape research and summarize findings for internal stakeholders.
  • Support development of forecasting models and scenario planning for pipeline and marketed products.
  • Help prepare dashboards and reports for leadership using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with Marketing, Sales, and R&D to understand business priorities.
  • Contribute to special projects such as AI/ML implementation, prescriber behavior analysis, or payer impact assessments.
  • Assist with the development and preparation of important and confidential presentations for the Executive Leadership Team and the MannKind Board of Directors.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What You Bring to the Table:


  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program (Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel required.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and/or basic programming (Python, SQL) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn about the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong business acumen and organizational agility - can confidently gain credibility quickly with leaders across all parts of the organization, including executive management.
  • Thrives in diverse environments with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Excellent organization, communication, research, and facilitation skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to build trust and operate with integrity and ethics.
  • Demonstrated learning agility.


Bonus Points If You Have:


  • Prior experience within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotech industries
  • Prior coursework or experience in data analytics, business strategy, or healthcare.
  • Experience with statistical analysis or predictive modeling.
  • You possess superior time management and organizational skills.
  • You have an intrinsic motivation to continually improve and optimize processes.
  • You take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and act on them without needing constant direction.
  • You are open to constructive criticism and use it to improve performance and grow professionally.


When and Where You'll Shine:


  • Full-time: Hybrid schedule (Onsite Mon-Thu, Remote Fri)
  • Location: Westlake Village, CA
  • Dates of Program: June 15 to August 20, 2026
  • A reliable commute or the intention to find temporary housing before starting the internship is required.
