Description Location:Longmont, CO (onsite) Experience:A minimum of 3 years professional experience producing engineering drawings from CAD tools. Minimum Education:Associate Degree in mechanical drafting, engineering technology, or related technical field. Compensation: $32-$45/hour, depending on experience. Summary: The Mechanical Drafter will produce high quality engineering drawings for complex assemblies requiring various machining and joining techniques in support of the development of cutting-edge laser and electro-optical systems. All applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Responsibilities: Collaborate with engineers to translate CAD models from a conceptual design phase into production-ready documents. Generate and revise detailed engineering drawings from CAD models in SolidWorks. Apply GD&T principles using ASME Y14.5 standards. Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness and compliance with ASME standards. Prepare and update BOMs with part numbers and required quantities. Utilize PDM to maintain configuration control of models and drawings for development and release. Required Experience / Capability: Commitment to Excellence. Attention to Detail. Capability to use project management tools such as Jira, GITlabs, or MS Projects, to track and document assigned tasks.
