Position Title: Logistics Sales Manager

Salary: $85,000-$90,000 per year

QPS Employment Group has a great Logistics Sales Manager position available at a company in Moline, IL. This is a direct hire position.

Logistics Sales Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of logistics sales representatives, ensuring individual and team performance meets company goals.

- Oversee the sourcing, development, and maintenance of a robust network of long-term carriers to support pre-booked and repeat lane opportunities.

- Ensure team coordination to guarantee coverage on all committed shipments.

- Guide the collection and management of carrier data, including availability, lane preferences, contacts, and historical rate information.

- Build and maintain strategic carrier partnerships to enhance portfolio performance and capacity reliability.

- Oversee and support rate negotiations using market intelligence and historical data to maximize profitability and achieve win-win outcomes.

- Ensure all shipment requirements are clearly communicated to carriers prior to tender.

- Approve carrier options and provide strategic guidance to Account Managers.

- Monitor compliance with documentation requirements, including rate confirmations, carrier, driver, and equipment details before dispatch.

- Ensure digital shipment tracking and visibility goals are met or exceeded.

- Lead problem resolution and escalations, coaching the team on effective solutions.

- Drive lane profitability through proactive rate management and pre-booking strategies.

- Analyze transportation market trends and use data to guide team strategy and sales decisions.

- Promote a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture that supports collaboration and operational efficiency.

- Set professional standards for attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies.

Logistics Sales Manager Requirements:

- 4-year degree preferred (or equivalent industry experience).

- 7-10 years of logistics-focused sales team management experience.

- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.

- Extensive experience in high-volume rate negotiation and profitability management.

- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Deep understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships with carriers, clients, and internal teams.
