Job Description TEKsystems is partnering with a major retail company on a nationwide Switch Replacement and Upgrade Project across all store locations. The initiative involves replacing Cisco 3650 switches with Cisco 9200 switches. We are seeking two remote Network Administrators to support overnight operations. These roles will focus on post-installation switch initiation, OS/template configuration, and Cisco switch validation to ensure successful deployment. Responsibilities * Perform pre- and post-installation validation testing to confirm connectivity and functionality. * Execute switch configuration and template updates. * Validate Cisco IOS and wireless configurations. * Support escalation processes as needed. * Collaborate with on-site teams and follow standardized procedures for each store. Shift Details * Schedule: Sunday through Thursday nights (after store closing). * Hours: * Sunday: stores close at 7 PM local time * Monday-Thursday: stores close at 9 PM local time * Flexibility is required as stores are located across multiple U.S. time zones. Some shifts may start later (e.g., midnight EST for West Coast stores). * Approximately 5 stores per night. Required Skills * Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS navigation and configuration. * Experience with Cisco switches (3650/9200 series). * Familiarity with Cisco Meraki and wireless validation. * Basic exposure to Palo Alto firewalls (primarily for validation, not configuration). * Ability to perform structured validation testing and troubleshoot as needed. Additional Information * Initial training provided by an FTE during the first few weeks. * Standardized process for all stores; escalation procedures in place. * This is an intermediate-level role requiring hands-on network engineering and support experience. * Applications are due by Friday, January 16th.
