Lead Fire Alarm Technician - Nashville, TN Join TEKsystems and be part of a team that delivers legendary service! We're looking for Fire Alarm Technicians to join our Nashville team. What You'll Do As a Lead Fire Alarm Technician, you'll play a critical role in installing, configuring, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems. You'll also have the chance to work with other low-voltage systems such as Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom systems. Your responsibilities will include: * Programming, start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning new system installations. * Performing point-to-point troubleshooting on Fire Alarms and related systems. * Communicating clearly with project leads and clients about status, challenges, and timelines. * Assisting with installations and identifying issues before and during projects. * Reviewing contracts and design documents for accuracy. * Conducting inspections to ensure compliance with code. * Completing detailed project reports and responding to emergency service calls. * Maintaining strong written and verbal communication with internal and external clients. * Demonstrating attention to detail and delivering timely, cost-effective solutions. What We're Looking For * Experience with Fire Alarm systems (Honeywell, Silent Knight, Notifier). * Knowledge of low-voltage systems: Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, Intercom. * Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read technical drawings and parts manuals to determine proper installation. * Ability to use lifts and ladders (8' or taller). * Proficient with hand tools and multi-meters. * Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions. * Ability to work on-site during regular business hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
