Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery - Pediatric Surgeon

The Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise in Pediatric Surgery. Candidates must be board eligible/board certified and have completed or will complete by the time of hire an accredited Pediatric Surgery fellowship. Applicants' materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Please note that the start date for employment will be in the Fall of 2027.

Candidates should have a focus and experience in the care of children with trauma with an academic focus in this area. Additionally, candidates should have an interest and experience in aerodigestive diseases in children particularly related to complex esophageal atresia and tracheo-esophageal fistula and related conditions. The candidate must demonstrate excellent abilities to work in multidisciplinary teams. Clinical activities will be focused at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.

Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department's residency training and educational programs.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
