Position Overview:

Woolpert is hiring Maritime Hydrographic Survey Interns to join our dynamic Geospatial teams at one of our many office locations in Houston TX, Charleston SC, Port Orchard WA, Wasilla AK, and San Rafael CA. This position reports to the Geospatial Team Leader and is responsible for supporting our Geospatial teams with Surveying and Data Processing. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, paid internship for Summer 2026.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What you will do:*



  • Assistingwith the acquisition andprocessing of hydrographic and geophysical datainsupport of government organizationsandprivate sector clientsforservices such asnautical charting, dredging, marine construction,cableroutemapping,pipelineinspection,andmore.
  • Engaging in data qualitychecks and preliminary analysis
  • Learning and applying various hydrographic software tools and methodologies
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of data managementstrategies
  • Supporting the team in ensuring data accuracy and integrity


*Intern responsibilities vary based on team placement within each department geographically

Candidate Requirements:



  • A generalunderstanding of hydrographic surveys
  • Physicalabilityand willingnesstowork on20 to 70ftvessels in coastal environments
  • Depending on intern placement, willing and able to spend up to 2-3 weeks in the fieldfor data collection while also completing rotations in an office to support processing
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and using new software tools
