Job Title: Insurance Specialist

Location: Remote
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Duration: 4+ months (possible extension)



Job Overview

We are seeking an Insurance Specialist to support commercial loan servicing operations. This role focuses on protecting investor interests by ensuring that commercial properties held as loan collateral maintain proper and compliant insurance coverage. The position requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities independently.

This is not a checklist-driven role. Candidates must be comfortable analyzing complex insurance and real estate scenarios, assessing risk, and clearly communicating findings.



Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor and review insurance compliance for commercial properties serving as loan collateral
  • Analyze insurance policies to ensure coverage meets investor, legal, and loan document requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments related to property insurance and coverage gaps
  • Review appraisals and evaluate their impact on insurance and risk exposure
  • Process and authorize insurance premium payments from escrow accounts
  • Communicate with insurance providers, borrowers, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain compliance with investor guidelines, servicing agreements, and applicable laws
  • Manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment



Required Experience

Candidates must have experience in at least one of the following areas:



  • Loan Servicing
  • Commercial Insurance
  • Real Estate (commercial preferred)

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to assess complex insurance and real estate risks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage tasks
  • Professional judgment and accountability

  • Community involvement or volunteer experience is a plus
