Security Guard - Driver - Retail Patrol

As a Security Guard - Driver - Retail Patrol in Catonsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers and store teams with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to situations with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle to patrol designated areas in line with AU Driver Policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances and exits, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor customer traffic and operational conditions, observe for suspicious behavior, and report concerns to on-site management and/or responding personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control, crowd management, and incident documentation.
• Complete required reports and logs, communicate clearly with store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support loss prevention and security-related awareness as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
