Snowflake is seeking a senior, business-facing leader to serve as Director of People Analytics. This role is responsible for building and operating a modern people analytics function that directly informs executive decisions, workforce strategy, and operating cadence across the company.

Reporting to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO), this leader will move people analytics beyond descriptive reporting into a trusted input for leadership decisions and employee enablement. The function will integrate people data with financial and product signals and power AI-driven experiences that help leaders and employees make better decisions, faster.

This role sits at the intersection of workforce strategy, enterprise analytics, and AI enablement. The Director will partner closely with HR, Finance, Product, and senior leaders to ensure people data is governed, explainable, and actionable, and that it meaningfully shapes how Snowflake plans, invests, scales, and works.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

People Analytics Strategy and Leadership

  • Define and own Snowflake's people analytics strategy as a core enterprise capability aligned to company priorities and executive decision-making needs.

  • Position people analytics as a trusted input into workforce planning, operating model design, and investment decisions.

  • Partner with the CDAO, CHRO, CFO, Product leadership, and executive team on the people questions that matter most to the business.

AI-Powered Employee Enablement

  • Lead the development of AI-driven people analytics experiences, including AI agents that help leaders and employees access insights, answer questions, and take action using governed people data.

  • Translate workforce and HR use cases into scalable, production-grade AI agents embedded in employee workflows.

  • Ensure AI agents are built with strong guardrails around privacy, security, explainability, and responsible use.

Business Impact and Decision Enablement

  • Connect people data and AI-driven insights to business outcomes, including productivity, execution velocity, attrition risk, talent gaps, and cost efficiency.

  • Build decision frameworks that help leaders move from insight to action, particularly during periods of growth, re-orgs, and transformation.

  • Establish clear metrics, narratives, and guardrails that support confident, timely, and accountable decision-making.

Analytics, AI, and Platform Integration

  • Partner closely with Data and and Analytics engineering teams to deliver reporting, predictive insights, and AI powered applications.

  • Leverage Snowflake's data and AI platform to partner with the Analytics Engineering team to build scalable, certified people datasets and AI agents integrated with enterprise analytics.

  • Partner with data science and AI teams to apply advanced analytics and AI responsibly, with an emphasis on transparency and trust.

Governance and Data Integrity

  • Set strong governance, privacy, and security standards for sensitive people data.

  • Ensure people analytics and AI outputs are consistent, explainable, and aligned with enterprise

  • Act as a steward of trust for employees and leaders in how people data and AI tools are used.

Team Leadership and Operating Excellence

  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing people analytics team with expertise across analytics, business partnership, and AI product delivery.

  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and career development for managers and individual contributors.

  • Establish scalable operating processes that prioritize high-leverage work and measurable impact.

Drive adoption of people's insights and AI tools through strong storytelling, data fluency, and partnership.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in people analytics, enterprise analytics, data science, or strategy roles with increasing scope and complexity.

  • Demonstrated people management experience, including hiring, developing, and leading high-performing teams in matrixed or high-growth environments.

  • Experience building or partnering on AI-powered analytics products or agents in enterprise settings.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate effectively in complex organizations.

  • Strong systems thinker with executive presence and comfort operating in ambiguity.

  • Deep analytics expertise, strong SQL skills, and experience integrating HR data into enterprise data platforms.

  • Familiarity with governed AI development, including privacy, explainability, and security considerations.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $232,000 - $304,500.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
