Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is hiring a Junior Modeling and Simulation Analyst in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities: Secure government facilities within the National Capitol Region. Help meet the requirements of our expanding customer base in the defense sector. Work directly with customers and model developers to create and execute analysis plans in various simulation environments including AFSIM, SUPPRESSOR, EADSim and other mission and engagement level models. Replicate systems or concepts under consideration for various operational scenarios. Define bounds for run matrix execution, carry out run execution, and perform analysis of results. Assist the Study Lead in defining study questions to address areas of concern and translate into analysis plans. Develop models in physics simulation frameworks to represent system performance and behaviors. Conduct simulation runs for studies using defined matrix and produce output. Output data into measures of merit and effectiveness to support the analysis plan objectives. Assist in performing verification and validation of simulation inputs, output and results. Assist in the interpretation of model results and development of presentations to deliver findings and conclusions to the customer in support of their analytical objectives. Required Qualifications:* At least 1 year of experience with mission-level Modeling and Simulation and Operations Analysis principles. Desired Qualifications:* Knowledge of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) methodologies and tools (i.e., AFSIM, Suppressor, or EADSIM). Familiarization with developing experimental designs, executing study plans, and constructing scenario elements. Prior experience with object-oriented programming and principles. Prior experience with conducting data analytics. Prior experience with statistics and their application in Monte Carlo simulations. Education Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, computer science or similar field. Clearance Requirements:* Must have a Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain Top-Secret clearance.
