We are seeking a System Administrator 2 to join ourSecurity and Electronic Systems (SES)business Unit.As part of(SES)Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, integrating, maintaining, and testing Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) systems along with other electronic security system infrastructure. This position is full time at Hanscom Air Force Base in Boston, MA. Candidates must be flexible with work schedules to accommodate system outages, upgrades, etc., dress and present themselves professionally, and be able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Punctuality, attendance, a willingness to learn, and an ability to work well as part of a contractor / client team are essential to success in this role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Configure PSIM interfaces to new systems coming online using a combination of C#, Python, and SQL / T-SQL scripting
- Experience with Everbridge Control Center PSIM is a plus
- Resolve system issues for physical security infrastructure.
- Lead testing of PSIM updates with Air Force/Force Protection Division/Test Team
- Communicate with customers, subcontractors, manufacturers, vendors, and technical specialists.
- Train system users and other system support personnel.
- Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size, and integrity checks.
- Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis.
- Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging, software loads, and antivirus updates.
- Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision.
Qualifications
Ability to travel up to 10% Education:
- 2+ Years of Experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
- 6+ Years of Experience with an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
- 8+ Years of Experience with a High School Diploma / GED
Required Progressive Experience:
- Experience with scripting in languages such as VBScript, PowerShell, JavaScript or another. The candidate should have a good working knowledge of script IF/THEN/ELSE logic.
- Experience working with Air Force/ Force Protection Systems Division
- Requires an understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Requires a basic knowledge of Windows active directory hierarchy and implementation.
- Requires a basic knowledge of large scale networking, VLANS, VPNs, and routing.
Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:
- Everbridge / CNL Control Center programming experience.
- CASP certification or CISSP certification.
- Microsoft SQL Server Query writing and management experience desired.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025) desired.
- Installation and configuration of operating system software (i.e. Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016 - 2025) experience desired.
- Lenel Onguard Experience.
- Vindicator v3 or v5 experience.
- Experience programming/administering Access Control Systems of any type desired.
- Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security electronics equipment desired.
