| Job Duties |
INTERNAL POSTING: Open only to applicants currently employed by East Carolina University.
The TBSN Concentration Director will fulfill a vital role in the Baccalaureate Department by overseeing all aspects of the
TBSN option. They will provide curricular review, submitting revisions when necessary to the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, engage with entities that promote student success, monitor students in academic jeopardy, and assist in coordinating course schedules for upcoming semesters. All other program options with the College of Nursing have a Concentration Director.
Specific Job Requirements:
1. Review transcripts and professional experience in comparison to the concentration requirements to determine the appropriate plan of study for prospective and current students.
2. Provide oversight for curricular review and revisions according to
CON and accreditation bodies procedures and standards.
3. Hold regular meetings with Associate Deans, Assistant Department Chair, Department Chair, and semester course leads for program review and development.
4. Submit curricular revisions for review by the
CON Undergraduate Curriculum committee as appropriate.
5. Track, monitor, and report
TBSN students' academic progress.
6. Support faculty onboarding and mentoring related to the
TBSN program.
7. Facilitate and/or attend program-level meetings (e.g., curriculum committee, faculty semester meetings) and provide oversight of program-wide processes
This appointment is contingent upon the availability of funds. |
| Minimum Education/Experience |
Must have earned a Master's Degree in Nursing (
MSN). 2 years of clinical nursing experience and 2 years of nursing education experience in an academic setting.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. |

2 years of leadership or administration experience in an academic setting; Software skills: Canvas or other Learning Management System, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), computer literacy, and academic writing proficiency |
