The role sits at the intersection of Facilities, Construction, and IT, ensuring building infrastructure, MEP systems, and facility technology are properly designed, installed, integrated, and supported through the full project lifecycle. This is not a traditional IT helpdesk or enterprise systems role; it is a facilities-first technical role with strong IT fluency.

    • HVAC controls and building automation systems (BAS)

    • Structured cabling pathways and telecommunications spaces

    • AV, security, and lighting controls

  • Participate in field inspections, punch lists, and system commissioning activities.

  • Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, low-voltage contractors, AV integrators, and controls vendors under the guidance of Facilities leadership.

Building Technology & Systems:

  • Support deployment and integration of:

    • Low-voltage and structured cabling

    • Access control, cameras, and security systems

    • AV and collaboration technology

    • Lighting control systems

    • Building automation/controls interfaces

  • Verify systems are installed per design intent and operate correctly prior to turnover.

  • Serve as a technical bridge between Facilities, IT, and external vendors to ensure alignment on design intent, network integration needs, and support readiness.

Operational Support:

  • Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting of facility technology and integrated systems.

  • Assist with lifecycle upgrades, renovations, and infrastructure refreshes.

  • Maintain clear documentation of system designs, changes, testing, and commissioning outcomes.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

  • Practical IT knowledge sufficient to understand how building systems integrate with enterprise networks (no deep server/cybersecurity expertise required).

  • Ability to work in active construction environments and occupied facilities.
