DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In the role of an Intern, you will periodically review the commonwealth job order contracting (JOC) project lists and identify any project that would be applicable for the ACT 129 utility rebate program. You can expect to update the Bureau's reference manual to include attachments, links personal changes and updated policies. Attention to detail will be key as you assist with loading and entering relevant information into the Commonwealth's enterprise-wide utility billing and analytics database. Additional responsibilities include creating a training plan with topics and possible training resources, obtaining equipment information to be entered into our work order system as well as providing a comprehensive list of consumables for each shop and building. Work involves developing a weekly project update for the deputate. You will have the opportunity to travel to job sites around the Harrisburg area and verify that specific tasks have been completed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, Summer or Fall Internship.
  • Work hours are flexible and will be finalized between selected interns and their supervisor.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirements:

  • All applicants must be enrolled full-time OR part-time at a college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of their internship.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able and willing to report to Harrisburg, PA during the Internship dates. Lodging and transportation are not provided.
  • You must be majoring, minoring, or have a concentration in Engineering, Business management or administration, Construction or Facility management, Project management, Information Systems Management, Communications, Operation management, or a closely related field.
  • You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
