A Day In The Life
We are seeking a Platform Engineer with a strong interest in DevSecOps practices, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise analytics systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who is eager to learn, proactive in solving problems, and motivated to grow into a technical leader while contributing to the reliability, security, and scalability of our platform ecosystem. This Platform Engineer will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, container platforms, and enterprise systems such as Denodo, Tableau, and MicroStrategy, while helping to establish and follow platform best practices.

As a Platform Engineer II you will:

• Platform Engineering & DevSecOps:
• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using modern DevSecOps tooling and practices
• Support code management (Git-based workflows) and artifact management solutions
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations using Terraform
• Help integrate security controls into build and deployment pipelines (DevSecOps mindset)
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
• Development & Automation:
• Apply a scripting and development mindset using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar
• Assist with API development and API management (RESTful APIs, gateways, authentication, and lifecycle management)
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve reliability and efficiency
• System Administration & DevOps Support:
• Provide platform and DevOps support for enterprise analytics and integration platforms:
• Denodo
• Tableau
• MicroStrategy
• Assist with deployments, upgrades, configuration changes, and environment maintenance
• Help document and promote platform best practices and operational standards
• Troubleshooting & Operations:
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues across:
• Compute, storage, and networking
• Application and network load balancers
• Firewalls, security groups, and network connectivity
• Analyze logs, metrics, and alerts to identify root causes and recommend improvements
• Support incident response and problem resolution efforts under guidance of senior engineers

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or equivalent practical experience Req
• 3-4 years of experience in Platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or system administration Required
• Experience supporting or administering Denodo, Tableau, or MicroStrategy Preferred
• Hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps concepts
• Working knowledge of: Git-based source control, Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals and Infrastructure as Code principles
• Basic understanding of: Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls) and Load balancing (application and network)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Exposure to API gateways and API management platforms
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Understanding of security fundamentals (certificates, TLS, secrets management)
• Eager to learn and grow technically in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and self-motivated, willing to take ownership of problems
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Interest in building reliable, secure, and scalable platforms
• Comfortable receiving guidance and mentorship while developing leadership skills

• Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) Troubleshooting (problem solving) is a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem and makes the product or process operational. Awareness-Developing Required
• Amazon Web Services Amazon Web Services ("AWS") allows users to 1) run web and application servers in the cloud to host dynamic websites; 2) securely store files on the cloud; 3) use managed databases to store information; 4) deliver static and dynamic files quickly using a Content Delivery Network (CDN); 5) send bulk email to customers. Physical and Environmental RequirementsThe physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements
20% Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
