GENERAL FUNCTION

The Director - Sales, FGX North America is responsible for developing the business for the division, and achieving/exceeding revenue, gross margin and contribution margin goals.

Leads strategy development and execution, customer networking and penetration, business sufficiency, internal initiatives to improve operations, customer satisfaction and profitability. Leads a channel team of commercial (Account Managers) and multifunctional resources.

Position requires travel up to ~25% per year and occasional weekend travel as needed for Industry or Customer Events.

Role is located either in the NYC or Rhode Island FGX corporate office, and reports to the Associate Vice President Sales for the business unit.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver revenue, gross margin and contribution margin goals via:



  • Further establish FGX as the preferred or exclusive retailer(s) long-term strategic partner across all eyewear categories and across NA geographies, through developing and driving a clear 3-5 year strategic plan, annual Joint Business Plans aligned with customer and insights-driven category level initiatives.
  • Lead & develop the cross-functional team, manage best-in-class go-to-market plans, and ensure excellence in execution.


Key business management responsibilities:



  • Regional NA Sales responsibilities for Sunglasses and Readers in the business unit.
  • Develop & deliver annual Operating Plan. Forecast sales and monitor results through regular weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings with management and other functions.
  • Own the P&L (Revenue, Gross to net, Gross Margin, Direct Expenses, Contribution Margin) and present pro-forma models for all initiatives.
  • Inventory management in partnership with SCM.
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing and other functions (MKT, PD, SCM, FIN, Retail Ops) to develop and present initiatives and accelerate profitable revenue growth.
  • Strategic Revenue Management and Omni-channel strategic approach.
  • Analyze business and customer trends, competitive reviews.
  • Develop and present customer presentations and reporting.


People responsibilities



  • Lead and develop 2-3 direct reports (account managers)
  • Lead and coordinate internal operations resources.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • BS or BA with 7 years of management and sales experience. Proven track record with Key Account Management.
  • Computer skills including strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong organizational, business management, and project management skills. Business acumen, data and financial analysis.
  • Sales leadership capabilities: establish solid, productive relationships with customer teams, strong presentation & negotiation skills, strategic thinking, able to interpret corporate strategies into trade activation programs, ability to forecast, manage and reliably deliver Sales and P&L objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally internally (supply chain, finance, marketing, product development)
  • Highly motivated self-starter individual, with career growth aspirations and strong ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects in parallel.

Pay Range: $152,323.24 - 240,274.84
