The IT Asset Analyst Lead supports the management and oversight of the organization's IT assets to ensure optimal use and value. This includes tracking and managing hardware and software inventory, lifecycle management, compliance with policies, and cost control. The role will monitor asset management policies and ensure that assets are properly accounted for and maintained.

Essential Job Function

  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including acquisition, deployment, tracking, and disposal of hardware and software.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to retirement, ensuring assets are effectively utilized and replaced as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure all IT assets comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and licensing agreements.
  • Cost Management: Monitor the cost of IT assets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Policy Maintenance: Monitor IT asset management policies and procedures.
  • Reporting: May generate and present regular reports on asset status, usage, and performance to stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: May coordinate with vendors and service providers for the procurement and maintenance of IT assets.
  • Training: Provide guidance and training to staff on proper asset management practices and procedures.
  • Team Management: Contribute to selection and management of personnel, including timely completion of HR and performance management processes to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

  • Required: 4 years of experience in IT asset management or a related role

Licensure/Certification/Listing

  • Preferred: Relevant certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) are a plus.
