Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C. Quality Department has an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician in our Harahan, LA facility working with our Advanced Quality Team. This position will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities
* Perform required visual and dimensional inspections while utilizing quality tools and equipment to capture inspection data
* Interpret product specifications and tolerances on quality drawings accurately during inspections
* Lead the documentation of non-conformances and containment of non-conforming product
* Support and/or lead quality investigations and provides accurate and timely data collection when needed
* Support and/or participate in continuous improvement efforts
* Use data, standards, and necessary quality tools to make consistent and principle-based decisions, such as when providing a disposition for non-conforming product
* Initiate and support the setting and updating of product specifications
* Manage and improve documentation of processes and procedures
* Provide urgent support to production and effectively elevates issues when needed
* Participate in the quality training program
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or higher education in a technical field (fields of mechanics, information technology, mathematics, science, etc.) or 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing quality environment or plastics injection molding
* Proficiency in basic computer software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
* Strong attention to detail
* Basic understanding of measurement systems and tools
* Passion for learning and growth with ability to manage own tasks and meet goals and objectives with little supervision
* Demonstration of sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent listening and communication skills, with strong ability to seek buy in on all levels
* Strong analytical and critical problem-solving skills
* Proven track record of making consistent, logical, and objective decisions using good judgment
* Ability to assume good intentions and exhibit trust in workplace relationships
Preferred Qualifications
* Basic understanding of the following: quality concepts, quality tools, probability, statistics, calibrations, and metrology
* Up-to-date professional quality certifications (ASQ, QAI, CSSC, etc.)
