Job Summary

The position is an integral role responsible

Job Responsibilities

  • Create Scheduling Agreements for external purchases.
  • Create and arrange contracts for materials.
  • Create Purchase Orders for special materials, special products fuel purchases, shipping and handlings, bulk deliveries.
  • Create Material PO's for special material purchases, hourly, by load hauls washout, standby.
  • Purchase order creation for environmental permits, Verifi invoices, temp. services, & other ad hoc PO's as needed.
  • Reconciliation for vendors.
  • Recurring payment processing for all leases.
  • Misc. deposits consolidated & sent to Lockbox.
  • Request new vendor set ups.
  • Work with Master Data to setup materials as needed.
  • Work with aggregate freight for internal and external.
  • Update prices as needed on all scheduling agreements and aggregate freights.
  • Ensure vendors and carriers have accounts in place before purchases begin. Within the Master Data and procurement departments.
  • Ensure proper paperwork submitted: W9, Cemex Required Insurance, vendor information form and truck information if internal aggregate haul.
  • Reconcile vendor and hauler invoices to ensure proper payment and cash sales.
  • Manage fuel inventory once a month / annually.
  • Update Fuel Reports for Plants for following month.
  • Create quarterly underground storage fuel purchase report.
  • Always Adhere to all CEMEX and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in operations or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience


  • Degree desired
  • Experience in Inventory, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Experience in inventory,/special projects
  • Experience in AP, customer relations required.
  • Industry experience helpful

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel including Macro & Pivot Table, PowerPoint, Word, Etc)
  • SAP or Master Data entry strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Team player, able take a leadership role in dealing effectively with various internal and external teams/departments
  • Proven ability to work independently, meet multiple deadlines, and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls
