Why This Role Is Critical
The Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Quality Manager North America will be expected to be an integral part of I&C from tender phase through project delivery. Envisions, defines and executes business plans at a section level. Manages an organization of quality assurance professionals and support staff. Position has cost center responsibilities, may have multiple work group responsibilities. Holds final authority on employee performance, development, long-term planning, and staffing decisions.
What You'll Do Day-To-Day
The successful candidate will work with the Framatome Inc. Quality Programs and Supplier Oversight Manager for the performance of internal and supplier audits. Additionally, will work with the Framatome Inc. Quality Operations Manager for support of certified Quality Control Inspectors.
Ensures quality deliverables (products, documentation etc.) to the contractual quality requirements
- Represents Framatome Quality to the Customer and internal Framatome Quality Organizations
- Be the voice of the Customer to the I&C Product Line and Framatome Quality Leadership
- Plan the staffing and build the I&C Quality team to support I&C business needs
- Is the representative for Nuclear Safety Oversight for I&C in North America
- Be an effective Framatome Quality representative to the Customers and Regulatory Agencies
- Review Customer quality requirements, identify and report deviations and gaps to the Framatome Quality program and contradiction to the NQA-1 and 10CFR50 App B expectations
- Ensure I&C Suppliers are adequately qualified and depicted correctly in the Framatome Approved Supplier List
- Ensure quality documentation for the I&C parts to be delivered from other countries for the U.S. projects is compatible with the U.S. quality standards and regulations and vice versa
- Lead development of Project Quality Plan
- Responsible for monitoring Quality risks throughout the project and to escalate concerns if required
- Required to stop activities if nuclear safety or any other major topic is at stake.
- Lead internal audits of Engineering deliverables conforming to the projects plans etc. (Project Quality Plan, Project Plan, Software Development Plan, IV&V Plan, Requirements Management Plan and Configuration Management Plan)
- Lead internal audit of Engineering Processes conforming to the Framatome Quality Assurance Program and Customer's expectations
- Lead inspections and sign off on Safety Systems Test Procedures
- Lead inspections and sign off on the Safety Systems Test Reports
- Coordinate quality witness point of the Safety Systems Tests
- Perform Quality oversight of Commercial Grade Dedication efforts
- Coordinate quality inspections and signs off on I&C manufacturing product quality packages, receipt inspection, Quality Assurance Data Packages, and storage control reports
- Support Equipment Qualification
- Initiate and drive ongoing I&C supplier qualification audits and inspections
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in related field with a minimum of 10 years related experience in nuclear quality assurance, including 5 years of leadership or management or equivalent work experience, in lieu of degree. Advanced knowledge related to I&C engineering, quality assurance and quality control standards, techniques and criteria, and I&C supplier qualification. Working experience with NQA-1 and 10CFR50 App. B. Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data. Grows developed network and maintains good interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers, regulatory agencies and Framatome Global Leadership. Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills. Displays leadership qualities such as planning and organization, driving for result, do the right thing and do it the right way, questioning attitude, mentoring and coaching.

- Salary: $133,000-$181,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
