Position Overview

QinetiQ is looking for a Total Rewards Manager to join our team.

In this role, the Total Rewards Manager (Individual Contributor) will be a critical partner to the Director of Total Rewards, providing hands-on expertise and project leadership across compensation, benefits, HRIS (Success Factors), and acquisition-related initiatives. Supporting a mid-size government contracting organization, this role offers broad exposure and meaningful ownership across the Total Rewards function.

Operating in a lean, collaborative environment, the Total Rewards Manager functions as a highly adaptable contributor who can step in to lead or support initiatives as business needs evolve, including growth through acquisitions and workforce changes driven by contract requirements.



Responsibilities

    Serve as a key Total Rewards partner to the Director of Total Rewards, providing operational support and project leadership across compensation, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Act as a flexible, hands-on resource across all Total Rewards areas, with the ability to lead initiatives or provide targeted support as priorities shift.
  • Drive key parts of the annual compensation planning process, including merit, market adjustment, promotions, and incentive bonus plans.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking, market analysis, and pay equity review to ensure external competitiveness and internal alignment.
  • Lead Compensation Projects such as job architecture, career frameworks, sand salary structure development.
  • Lead Total Rewards projects by developing detailed project plans, managing timelines, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Play an active role in acquisition-related activities, including due diligence, employee data analysis, Total Rewards program assessment, and post-close integration.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leadership to assess and enhance compensation and benefits programs aligned with organizational strategy, contract requirements, and market competitiveness.
  • Identify, design, and implement scalable processes and best practices to improve efficiency, governance, and consistency across Total Rewards programs.
  • Lead the design, governance, and delivery of local and enterprise-wide benefit programs such as healthcare, risk, voluntary benefits, retirement, paid time off, etc.
  • Partner with HR, brokers and vendors to implement benefit changes, renewals and communications.
  • Manage leave of absence program in partnership with third-party LOA administrator. Ensure compliance with local and federal sick/disability and family leave regulations.
  • Leverage strong working knowledge of Success Factors to develop reports, analyze workforce and compensation data, and support informed decision-making.
  • Participate in HRIS optimization initiatives, including report standardization, workflow improvements, and data quality enhancements.
  • Analyze and present Total Rewards data and insights to HR leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Develop polished, accurate, and visually consistent presentations and materials in PowerPoint for leadership and executive audiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Total Rewards.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive professional experience, including 5+ years in Total Rewards functions (compensation, benefits, and HRIS).
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results with limited direction.
  • Experience in compensation management to include job classification and leveling, conducting market reviews and benchmarking compensation data.
  • Experience and comfort with benefits-related technologies and platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to execute quickly and accurately.
  • Experience supporting public companies and/or working within small to mid-size government contracting environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
