Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Laboratory Assistant III
  • Location: Northwest Community Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, 8:30am-5pm

What you will do:

  • Labeling, and processing specimens according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Performing basic specimen testing and analysis on blood, urine, and other specimens from patients, as required.
  • Maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, microscopes, and analyzers.
  • Monitoring and replenishing laboratory supplies, ensuring an adequate inventory of materials.
  • Assisting with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Accurately recording and document specimen information, test results, and patient data in laboratory information systems.
  • Maintaining organized records and ensuring data confidentiality and security.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports and documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures, including the proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
  • Following quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards, including CLIA and CAP.
  • Assisting laboratory technologists and scientists with various tasks, including sample preparation, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth laboratory operations and workflow.

Certification: Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) - American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) Or Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) - American Medical Technologists (AMT) Preferred Experience: 1 Year laboratory experience, with a strong understanding of laboratory processes and safety protocols required. Unique or Preferred Skills: Detailed oriented, Multitasker
