This role will develop ETL processes, create/supplement the design for various data marts, implement reports, dashboards and various other BI artifacts and processes for internal and external clients based on business requirements using industry best practices. Duties and Responsibilities Work with the Director of Development on the best use of available technologies to complete the projects. Work with the Director of Development to create new data marts/to supplement existing data marts with additional metrics. Research requirements for each report request to provide the requested functionality of each report. Translate requirements into tasks and estimate the size. Report progress to team on the implementation of assigned projects. Develop reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services development environment. Develop stored procedures using T-SQL to meet the requirements of user report requests. Design report layouts/PowerBI dashboards/paginated reports that provide a user-friendly experience. Maintain reports, stored procedures, and ETL processes developed by the BI team. Perform testing of each report and query created to verify results for meeting the user requirements. Analyze performance of each report or query. Recommend and implement modifications to each report or query based on analysis of performance. Skills SQL Server Database schema design T-SQL Microsoft Reporting Services Microsoft SSIS or any ETL tool Advanced Excel Understanding of query optimization Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI or any dashboarding tool Basic knowledge of Dimensional Modeling and Star Schema designs Azure SQL Database knowledge is a nice to have Azure SQL Managed Instance knowledge is plus General familiarity with the Microsoft Azure Cloud is a plus Ability to understand & translate reporting business requirements into ETL processes, reports, and/or dashboards Work with software developers on system designs, advise on BI related processes Demonstrate logic and math skills along with the ability to be inquisitive in analyzing requirements Experience in a financial environment is a plus Exposure to AGILE development methodologies is a nice to have After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
