In this role, you will support the BLUE Regional Grocery & Wholesale sales team, helping to ensure that the team drives sales developments, while customer relationships run smoothly and effectively. You will assist with preparing and organizing materials, coordinating with customers and team members, while helping to maintain detailed records of sales activities.

This role will support our Kroger & Harris Teeter sales team with various internal and external data entry and communications. Candidates will demonstrate their ability to be a self-starter and operate with high learning agility while maintaining a keen eye for accuracy and have strong organizational/prioritization skills.

As an Field Selling Assistant (FSA) on our Regional Grocery Business, you will be working in a fast-paced environment while gaining exposure to broader BLUE Omni Grocery team. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual that can bring ideas and additional support to the team!

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Deliver Outstanding Results & Sales Support

  • Take personal accountability & ownership for results and processes while maintaining a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Manage customer processes related to promotion planning and new item set up by completing customer forms and data entry as needed for contracts, new items, logistical changes, special packs.
  • Assist with internal system maintenance to ensure accurate tracking of volume and spending (Trade management systems, distribution management system)
  • Provide ad-hoc meeting and sales process support (meeting facilitation, customer meeting needs, etc.)
  • Help support and manage invoice/payment process across Kroger and Harris Teeter desks.

Problem Solving/Analytics

  • Work collaboratively with peers to identify, improve and develop efficient processes
  • Assist with Regional Trade and Sales Reporting as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in any of the following: account management, trade funding, analytics, finance, sales, marketing, and/or category management, retail
  • Analytical skills and experience
  • Project management experience/skills (attention to detail, follow through, communication, independent worker)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with internal and external data sources (e.g. 1WS, IRI, customer point of sale data, DemandTec)
  • Experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Cincinnati, OH preferred, US remote eligible
  • International remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $45000.00 - $62000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
