Position Title: QA Technician
Wage: $18.00 per hour Shift: 1st, 3rd Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm; 9:30pm-6:00am (Mon-Fri) Be part of a nationwide leader in value-added food production, supplying high-quality egg and potato products to major foodservice and retail brands. Work in a fast-paced, modern facility in Britt, IA, that prioritizes food safety, innovation, and team success-where every role plays a part in feeding families across the country. QA Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Collect and analyze in-process and finished product samples, conducting necessary tests to verify quality standards. - Follow USDA, FSIS, FDA, customer, and company guidelines to ensure food safety and compliance. - Use SAP to access product specifications, formulas, and mixing instructions. - Conduct pre-operation and operational inspections to identify potential safety or quality issues. - Document and report any quality concerns or deviations promptly. - Calibrate testing equipment regularly and troubleshoot when issues arise. - Assist in training production staff on food safety, quality standards, and best practices. - Maintain adherence to safe work practices, GMPs, and sanitary procedures during all activities. QA Technician Requirements: - Candidates must have several years of solid work experience in a food production environment, clearly detailed on the resume. - Prior experience with food safety testing, inspections, or quality assurance is preferred. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment while maintaining focus and attention to detail. - Capable of standing for 8-10 hours daily, performing repetitive reaching, bending, and lifting of 20-40 lbs., with occasional lifts up to 70 lbs. - Comfortable working in temperatures of 35-40 degrees and performing repetitive motions with shoulders and wrists. masoncity@qpsemployment.com IND098 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
