Your Role in Women's Health and Surgical Excellence:



  • Role supports the OB Hospitalist team offering 24/7 coverage.
  • Primary function is first assist in Csections (scheduled and emergent).
  • Respond to OB STATs, support the OB ED, conduct consults, and assist with vaginal deliveries.
  • Play a pivotal role in women's health, supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Provide exceptional preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care to women undergoing various surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and surgical teams to ensure seamless and safe patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to patient education and promote a holistic approach to women's health.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science and Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Maintains current NCCPA (National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants) Certification by CME every 2 years and recertification exam every 10 years to complete the certification cycle.
  • Completion of CAAHEP certified Physician Assistant program if completed prior to 2001.
  • Licensing as a Physician Assistant in the District of Columbia.
  • Current BLS.
  • NRP and Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification to be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Must have at least one year of experience as a Labor and Delivery PA.
  • Strong preference for OR firstassist experience, Inpatient or outpatient OB/GYN background.

Salary Range: Minimum 57.99/hour - Maximum 89.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
