| Job Summary |
The
Instructional AI Content Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and packaging educational materials for the
UTD/Uplift: Future Ready AI Collaborative, funded through a Department of Education grant. This role focuses on translating highlevel AI and technology concepts into accessible, deliverable content libraries for both K-12 and postsecondary learners.
The designer collaborates closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), including faculty and industry Single Points of Contact (SPOCs), to curate, standardize, and package instructional assets for broad implementation. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, education, communications, information technology, curriculum design or related field; three to five years experience in course design, curriculum design or e-learning, preferably in higher education; experience with graphic and multimedia authoring software and Web site design software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Previous experience building "contentasaservice" packages or digital libraries.
- Strong copyediting skills and experience with AP Style or academic branding.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Proficiency in content management systems and digital design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
- Experience collaborating with faculty or technical experts to simplify complex topics.
- Knowledge of AI literacy, data analytics, or educational technology trends.

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Content Library Development: Design and maintain a centralized content library that houses AI literacy modules, case studies, and stackable microcredential assets. Faculty and Industry Collaboration: Lead recurring "contentmining" sessions with faculty and industry partners to capture specialized expertise and transform it into structured lesson plans or digital learning packages. Content Package Delivery: Ensure all content is fully formatted, polished, and ready for deployment across the Uplift Education network and for use by UT Dallas students. Quality Assurance: Review all project materials to ensure brand consistency, pedagogical effectiveness, and alignment with the grant's AI literacy objectives. MultiModal Content Creation: Develop a wide range of content formats, including shortform videos, interactive PDFs, and digital question banks to support test preparation initiatives.

This position is jointly funded by UT Dallas and a Department of Education grant. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The initial appointment is through December 2029, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued funding and satisfactory performance.
Work Notice: Work will be performed on-site and in person.
