Laser Operator

dormakaba is seeking a Laser Operator based in Reamstown, PA. The Laser Operator is responsible for operating the laser machine. This role also supports the production team by operating machinery, bending, and punching metal products. This is a technical role with machine operation focus.

The base pay range for this position is $23/hr. - 28/hr. Mandatory overtime as needed.

• Operate the laser machine and other machinery used in the production process
• Assist other machine operators in running various machines if needed
• Perform basic equipment setup and inspections using precision measuring and gauging equipment
• Document and perform all job/routing procedures as directed
• Utilize working knowledge about shield gases while operating the laser cutting machine
• Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities of the role

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 2-4 years Laser experience, preferred
• 2 years Mechanical / machine manufacturing experience
• General Basic Computer and math skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and oral form-including reading, writing, and listening - with functional English proficiency required
• Must be able to read and understand work orders, blueprints and other technical drawings
• Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills
• Must be able to read a tape measure/scale to the 1/32nd

• Previous forklift/crane operator experience
