The Senior Director, Industry & Solution Strategy for Industrial Manufacturing is the trusted source of industry, micro-vertical and solution insight that shapes Infor's strategy and empowers every function to succeed. Through their deep industry and solution knowledge, the Director enables other Capability Leaders and their teams (Sales, Marketing, eco-System, Products) to achieve our company goals. Additionally, they will partner with Field Sales to promote sales performance and growth. Through deep expertise and foresight, they will drive informed decisions, elevate market credibility and create scalable impact, fuelling growth for customers, partners, and Infor worldwide. A day in the life Typically includes:-
- Provide in-depth Industry / MV / Solution knowledge and expertise to support vision, strategy, and planning.
- Maintain a strong Point of View on industry and micro-vertical solution strengths and value levers to feed into strategy (product and GTM), messaging and content.
- Support routine and ad-hoc strategy and planning activities, in partnership with Business Strategists, Sales, Marketing, Product, Delivery, Finance, Ecosystem, and other key functions.
- Maintain scaled feedback mechanisms to capture key Industry / MV / Solution wins and gaps at a regional level, including efficacy of key strategic initiatives, voice of customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, as well as recommendations to achieve corporate strategy and goals (e.g., ACV targets for focused Industries / Geos / Solutions).
- Support sales / marketing / SC / ecosystem / CS / delivery and other capabilities through scalable training and enablement*
- Scaleably enable sales, marketing, partners, Solution Advisors, delivery, SCs/VEs, Customer Success and other functions on relevant Industry / MV / Solution trends at the geo-level, through targeted training, community calls, and on-demand content for key enablement initiatives.
- Partner with the Enablement team to develop and maintain relevancy of Industry / MV / Solution training content for sales, marketing, partners, Solution Advisors, delivery, SCs/VEs, Customer Success and other relevant stakeholders. Deliver the content as needed.
- Develop and publish Enablement tools to support Industry / MV / Solution sales efforts in partnership with Competitive Intelligence (CI).
- Be the engine behind Infor Industry / MV / Solution thought-leadership through customer facing content.
- Amplify the voice of Infor at conferences, User Groups (UGs), analyst relations / PR, industry councils, and other relevant associations.
- Partner deeply with Product, Solution Marketing and Business Strategy to develop and maintain relevancy of Infor's differentiated Industry / MV / Geo / Solution value proposition through owning the creation and publishing of relevant Source Materials.
- Partner with Solution Marketing to help build and deliver scaled portfolio of integrated thought leadership content, aligned with global and / or regional campaigns, focused on priority Industries / MVs / Solutions.
- Support Field Marketing by being Infor's voice in priority conferences, user group meetings, trade shows, industry councils, analyst relations and other relevant associations. Includes activity, event planning, and execution where needed for priority events.
- Support Customer Marketing, identifying customer candidates for references / evidence, aligned to business priorities. Bring Voice of the Customer into customer marketing strategy.
- Performance measures include SaaS Bookings new wins, conversion, average deal size. Industrial Manufacturing SaaS Pipeline growth.
- Partner with Marketing teams to identify and develop relevant, compelling customer proof points.
- Be a thought leader, regularly development and promotion of industry relevant thought leadership, speaking engagements, webinars.
Basic Qualifications
- Domain knowledge in Industrial Manufacturing.
- Experience working directly or indirectly in core manufacturing, supply chain and financial business processes, sufficient to sustain C-level conversations with customers and prospects.
- Experience of multiple technology application solutions including ERP, SCP, PLM, MES and use of AI in manufacturing setting.
- Analytical experience with the ability to interpret market data and draw actionable insights into top markets Sales.
- Communication and presentation experience, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Experience creating and delivering compelling content, presentations and business cases to senior business leaders and influencers.
- Highly collaborative with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- 25% Travel.
